You need to improve your English but have no one to practice with?
You would love to find a better job but they all require excellent English?
What is CHATCAFÉ?
An easy-going, playful, thematic group-conversation in English with lots of fun games! The goal is to acquire new vocabulary in a cosy, friendly environment and improve your social English while putting into use your passive knowledge.
Where is CHATCAFÉ held?
Always in a Café! :) To experience real life English talk you must abandon the safe, sterile environment of school rooms and try to engage in a talk away from your desk and teachers. One step towards your more sofisticated English!
How is it different from a simple conversation club?
Conversation clubs can mean massive help in improving your language skills and I can truly recommend them to all learners!
Their sole disadvantage is that you most probably will hear the same old questions: Where are you from? What do you do? How do you like it here? CHATCAFÉ, however, gives you more! It can expand your vocab every time you attend!
How can you improve your vocab with the help of the CHATCAFÉ?
Every CHATCAFÉ has one specific topic. Once you send me an email, I will pass you a topic related word and expression list, so that you could have a little help in case the words don't come:) The point is to enable you to drive conversations in various topics and use the newly acquired lexis on the spot.
How is the CHATCAFÉ structured?
We start with a little intro and then jump into the first games. These are icebreakers to make you feel cosy and cheer up for the evening. As a second step we launch the conversation: this you will do in pairs and you'll have to swap chat partners every 15 minutes to befriend with as many people as you can. And finally, we finish off with games.
What is the level I should have in English?
You need to be able communicate, though complete fluency is not needed, as this is what we improve here, at the CHATCAFÉ :). You do not need to be familiar with all topics: this is why I send you a list of expresssions and words for the actual topic once you register.
